About Bulghur:
- historically mainly a side dish of the Arab countries, very popular also in Turkey

- grains are cut into pieces, then steamed and dried
- vitamins and minerals of the skin parts of the grain enter the inner parts of the kernels in the steaming process making bulghur rich in nutrients
- fast-cooking, easy dish
- strong nutty flavor
- contains gluten as bulghur is made from wheat.
