Couscous and Bulghur have been booming in our kitchens for many years – as can be seen in the numerous convenience salads offered in the chilled areas of our supermarkets. Couscous is made of fine wheat semolina which is steamed and formed to small balls whereas Bulghur is made from durum wheat cut into pieces. Couscous and Bulghur have already been steam-treated and are therefore ready-to-eat a making them fast and easy dishes. Just soak them in hot water and wait some minutes.
